Sub Assembly
In response to the changing needs of our customers and to maintain 1st tier supplier status, Hallam Plastics has developed from being a plastic processor only, to become a much more flexible and broad based partner / supplier, including low level sub assembly as an added process.
Historically this would have included an insertion of threaded inserts and hardware such as handles, hinges and magnets. Now Hallam Plastics undertake complete complex assembly operations, producing finished assembled products boxed, ready for retailing, This includes Hallam Plastics assuming responsibility for management of the upstream supply chain, and supplying in kit or fully assembled form.
By utilising some of the moulding cycle time for assembly operations a cost effective solution is available. In many instances plastic mouldings cannot be nested or packaged in a space efficient way, consequently, fitting components to these mouldings they can be transported securely and for little additional costs.
